Stain removing tips:
Butter/grease/sauces
If a greasy mark forms, firstly scrape the surface of the stain with a spoon or knife to remove any excess oil. Apply undiluted gentle detergent to the stain with a lint free cloth and rub lightly, then rinse in warm water.
Chocolate
Dab gently around the edge of the stain with a cloth soaked in gentle detergent then gently dab the stained area with white vinegar before pressing gently with an absorbent cloth. Rinse in warm water.
Crayon
Dab gently with eucalyptus oil and then rinse.
Excrement
Scrape with a spoon or knife to remove excess then dab gently with a solution of one teaspoon of approved wool detergent with one teaspoon of white vinegar dissolved in one litre of warm water.
Egg/Milk
Dab gently with a lint free cloth soaked in diluted white vinegar. Repeat the action with undiluted gentle detergent and rub lightly, then rinse in warm water.
Felt Tip Pen
Dab gently with clean warm water followed by a gentle detergent solution.
Fruit/Fruit Juice
Immediately dab the stain with a mixture of gentle detergent and water (3:1 ratio), then rinse in warm water.
Gravy
Dab stain with a cloth soaked in clean lukewarm water.
Grass
Apply soap very carefully (using a mild tablet soap or flakes) or dab gently with a lint free cloth with undiluted gentle detergent, then rinse in warm water.
Ink
Dab gently with eucalyptus oil and then rinse.
Ice Cream
Rinse in cold water, then add diluted white vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly in cold water.
Urine
Dab gently with clean warm water followed by a gentle detergent solution.
Vomit
As for ice cream.
